Biography

Patrick Phalen is a New York City based drummer and percussionist. He toured with American Idol royalty Ruben Studdard and Clay Aiken on their 20th Anniversary Tour. Since entering the Broadway and Off-Broadway scene in 2022, he has performed in productions including The Great Gatsby, Shucked, Mamma Mia!, Elf The Musical, Teeth, and White Rose, among others. He previously held the drum chair on the Shucked 1st National Tour and now serves as the drummer for The Great Gatsby 1st National Tour.

Patrick was born and raised in Wisconsin where he attended the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Liberal Arts (Classical Percussion) and a Business Administration Minor. He studied under the direction of Dr. Jeff Crowell, Dr. Brian Claxton, and Mr. Robert Baca.

While COVID-19 shut down the music industry, Patrick was able to stay busy recording many different projects. Many of which can been seen in COVID Collab.
